You say yes when your body is quietly saying no. You smooth over other people's discomfort before you have even noticed your own. Somewhere along the way, you learned that being useful was the safest way to be loved.
You feel responsible for everyone else's emotions — and exhausted by it.
Even naming a preference feels risky, as though wanting something makes you difficult.
If someone is unhappy, you assume you did something wrong — and rush to repair it.
This is Not About Becoming a New Woman.
It is about recovering the one who was here all along — beneath the roles, the responsibilities, the accommodating, the anticipating. This course gently helps you understand the patterns you learned to survive, without shame, and offers a compassionate path back to yourself.
Four Modules. One Homecoming.
Each module is a compassionate invitation, not a lecture.
Recognizing Self-Abandonment Without Shame
Explore the subtle but crucial differences between:
- generosity and self-erasure
- flexibility and chronic accommodation
- kindness and fear-based compliance
- peacemaking and peacekeeping
- service and over-functioning
- compromise and abandonment of self
Recovering Identity from Beneath Usefulness
Distinguish the layers that got tangled together:
- Role — what I do
- Responsibility — what has been entrusted to me
- Identity — who I am
- Preference — what I enjoy or choose
- Value — what matters deeply to me
- Desire — what I genuinely want
The Emotional Engine Underneath People-Pleasing
Understand what happens inside when someone disagrees, withdraws, criticizes, or calls you selfish. Learn to see the chain:
Someone is unhappy → I feel anxious → I assume I did something wrong → I rush to repair the discomfort.
Learning That Limits Are Not Cruelty
A boundary is not “You must stop doing that.” A boundary is “If that continues, this is what I will do.”
Get clear on what you will and will not do, what belongs to you, and what belongs to another adult.
Questions You Might Be Holding
